The Chinese use chopsticks to eat. They are a pair of sticks of the same length, both manipulated with one hand. They say the chopstick is the extension of the finger and thus much more harmonious with the surrounding environment unlike the knife and fork which is all about cutting and stabbing.
Back when I was in highschool we used those things except they were plastic lol... too poor to aford regular shit I guess

Bowie knife only. Like a real man.
ReplyDeleteHow could people eating mostly rice come up with two sticks? The bigger question is, why would someone use a Spork? What kind of food needs a spoon and a fork at the same time?
ReplyDeleteI only use a sporf.
ReplyDeleteIm chinese, but Im more comfortable with fork and knives. The spork invokes laughter from me. Following!
ReplyDeleteIt depends on what I'm eating. I was introduced to sushi about a year ago and since then, I've been using chopsticks whenever they were available to foods that could be eaten with them (it's hard to eat a steak with two sticks, might I add...so I never would even try that).
ReplyDeleteThis is madness!
ReplyDeleteThis has to be the best eating utensil I've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteI mostly just use a fork, unless I'm having steak, which is a rarity these days unfortunately :(

Culturally appropriate cutlery. I'll eat pasta with a knife and fork, creme brulee with a spoon and sushi with my chopsticks. I don't eat indian with my fingers, though, maybe I'm just a wanna be.
