appl

Apple Inc is the second largest company in the world in terms of market capitalization.

It is now among the ranks of oil companies.

The difference? The world runs on oil, not just for transportation but plastic packaging etc. The world doesn't need to be run on apple products.

Each purchase of an apple product is the result of a deliberate choice on the consumer's part. Unlike say Microsoft products which powers many businesses and schools.

  9. Hello~! As an investor, I think I will never touch apple. Too overpriced in my opinion. I think the competition will only get moer fierce. If they don't come up with new things all the time, the market will punish them hard for it.

    I have followed your blog.
Could you follow mine too please at:

  11. Yeah... and if people bought oil for its appearance, there would be much less sales for that ugly black goop. However, that's the main reason people buy Apple products. Idiots!

  12. The problem is, Apple has gotten for itself a "trendy" factor.

College kids want any Apple product.
    Little kids want Apple products.

Apple started to really turn towards this with the iPod. Great idea--not original in terms of technology, but in terms of form factor. Fast-forward to the 4th generation and Apple has cut their iPod prices to FINALLY within consumer reach (I hopped on during the 3rd gen).

    And thus the iPod spread.

    Then came the iPhone.

    And the iPad.

And people figure, "If Apple makes a good phone/tablet, their computers must be boss too! That's what the commercials tell me!"

Apple has really played the consumers masterfully interms of adoption-by-proxy.

  17. Yeah, what a scary bunch of assholes. God damn companies are more secretive than the government. Guess they're practically the same entity though.
